Leading lady, Jamie Lynn Spears, has been talking with executives that work for Nickelodeon about a Zoey 101 reboot!
It’s been over a decade since the show left airwaves and broke viewers’ hearts all across the nation. The stars of the show reunited on Monday for a dinner in Los Angeles. Those that attended the dinner were the likes of the show’s creator, Dan Schneider, along with Chris Massey, Sean Flynn, Victoria Justice, Matt Underwood, Abby Wilde, Paul Butcher, Jack Salvatore, and Erin Sander.
Of course, a few fan favorites were missing in action. Austin Butler has been hard to reach these days, apparently. (Though, Massey has mentioned to TMZ that he’s hoping Butler will come back for the possible reboot.) Spears wrote to Instagram, “Not only did I miss the reunion, but I also missed the FaceTime, because I’m lame and fell asleep.”
Although Spears couldn’t make it, rumors of a reboot are circulating like crazy. The show would feature most of the original casting, except it would now focus on Zoey’s life 10 years after the last episode aired. She would have a few kids, just like in real life, and we’d finally get to see where Zoey and Chase ended up. Jamie Lynn Spears teased fans on Instagram a week ago, hinting that big things were coming for Zoey 101. — Are you ready? Ooooh.
All we’re hoping for over here at Pop Sundae is for Nick to #BringBackZoey.
